Best results are obtained if hole is pre-drilled a few thousandths smaller than the small diameter of finished reamed hole. Carbide Reamers have great abrasive resistance, provide consistent cuts and smoother finishes than other tools. Ream two-thirds the speed of drilling and Feed at 200%-300% higher than drilling to prevent chatter and reamer wear. Aim for perfect alignment of the Spindle, Reamer, Bushing and hole to be machined.
